The Marucci Cat 9 Connect baseball bat brings together a combination of bleeding edge, ultra-premium aluminum barrel design and construction and a composite handle, resulting in what will go down as next generation two piece bat construction. The Marucci Cat 9 Connect Minus 8 Ounce bat for USSSA is built for the average sized youth baseball player in the 11 to 13 year old range. A lighter version (-10 ounce) is available for younger players or players who need higher bat speed. A heavier version is available in a -5 ounce version for players and power hitters. A composite handle makes this bat a “Hybrid” design. The OLS (Outer Locking System) connection piece uses the stiffest construction material available, so you won’t lose the traditional solid feeling of hitting when hitting, all while the OLS system prevents sting and vibration from ever reaching your hands. The barrel of the -8oz Cat 9 Connect Marruci has a Multi-Variable Wall Design with no rings in the barrel, to give the Cat 9 Connect a larger sweet spot than other aluminum bats.
